James Suckling: 96 Points

"Very ripe and opulent but pretty fresh at the same, with plenty of blackberries, some fresh figs, dark chocolate and flowers. Very concentrated on the full-bodied palate with ripe, densely packed tannins. Rich, very flavorful and long. Pretty hedonistic for 2021. Flamboyant, flavorful and extravagant. 17 months in barrels, of which 50% is new oak. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 8% carmenere, 5% petit verdot, 3% cabernet franc and 3% syrah. Drink or hold." James Suckling, 96 Points

Descorchados: 96 Points

"Baronesa P. has been produced since the 2018 vintage, and its base has always been cabernet sauvignon from their own vineyards beside to the Baron winery in Buin—vineyards that were planted on the alluvial terraces of the Maipo River in the early 2000s. This year, in a brilliant vintage, this wine is 81% cabernet sauvignon, 3% syrah, and 3% cabernet franc, all from those Maipo vineyards, plus 8% carmenere and 5% petit verdot from further south in the Colchagua Valley. This version is juicy above all else, with aromas and flavors of ripe red fruits, menthol, and the touches of herbs that are typical of Maipo cabernet. The acidity is firm and vibrant, and the fine, sharp tannins are so characteristic of the Maipo and the area's alluvial soils. A classic." Descorchados, 96 Points
