Sourced from the Marcenasco vineyard in La Morra, this is one of the oldest sub zones of the entire Barolo district. Purchased by Renato Ratti in 1965, Marcenasco was one of the first single vineyard cru Barolo's that bore the Ratti name. Today, the wines of Renato Ratti draw enormous acclaim, including the Marcenasco being listed as Wine Enthusiast's Wine of the Year.
"A firm, elegant red marked by haunting aromas of rose, cherry and spices. Supple and beautifully balanced, with strawberry and cherry flavors shaded by underbrush and white pepper. Shows fine length, with a hint of licorice. Best from 2025 through 2042." The Wine Spectator, 93 Points
