2021 was the year introducing a wide range of "Better for You" wine choices, that ranged from Kendall Jackson's Low Cal Avant to Sunny with a Chance of Flowers, and Mind & Body Pinot Grigio. We tasted them all, and while most showcased the style of low calorie/low sugar, not many actually tasted like wine. Osmosis came to us late in the year, when the Sauvignon Blanc season had almost finished, but with credentials from Tapiz and Vino del Sol, it became an instant hit. Made in Alto Agrelo, 3,440 feet above sea level, winemaker Martina Galeano uses proprietary techniques to gently reduce the wine’s alcohol to 9% while maintaining 100% of the wine’s natural taste. Naturally dry with zero sugar, this vibrant Sauvignon Blanc imparts the perception of sweetness from the juicy pineapple flavors. Our #1 criteria was to select a wine we'd enjoy as a stand-alone Sauvignon Blanc, not because it was simply "Better for You." Job well done!
