The secret to this Rosso, is that Mastrojanni make no distinction at harvest between grapes destined for their various wines. The quality of the grapes used for their Rosso is identical to that of their Brunello di Montalcino. In a nutshell, this is declassified, not yet released 2021 Mastrojanni Bruenllo! Of course the aging requirements are a bit different, as the Rosso spends 7 months in oak and then 3 months in bottle prior to release. However, the 2021 is inviting from the very first sip. Food friendly and ready to drink.
