If you're a fan of cellar worthy Italian reds, you don't want to miss this Chianti Classico Riserva from famed Castello di Bossi. Their elegant yet intensely flavored Chianti's place them firmly among the top handful of Italian wine producers, with the best vintages of their top Riservas often approaching Brunello di Montalcino in terms of complexity and potential for longevity. Such is the case for the 2019 vintage. Its aromatic intensity, definition and total sense of finesse is a dead ringer for a young Brunello di Montalcino! Classic aromas of dark cherries, plums, sweet spice, violets, vanilla and hints of dark chocolate emerge on the nose. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied but smooth with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Tannins are well integrated with the alcohol, and lead to a silky finish.
