Who doesn't love a great value Cabernet Sauvignon, especially this time of year! In the early 1990’s, Bordeaux luminaries Bruno Prats (Chateau Cos d'Estournel) and Paul Pontallier (Chateau Margaux) discovered the high caliber of Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile’s Alto Maipo region. They partnered with renowned winemaker Felipe de Solminihac (Undurraga & Cousino Macul), and acquired 45 acres in the Quebrada de Macul, historically the heart of the Maipo Valley. Brilliant ruby with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and lavender, becoming more expressive with aeration. Aged for 12 months in French oak, you rarely find the combination of old vines and oak aging in a sub-$20 Cabernet Sauvignon. Don't miss it!
"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is floral, expressive, open and aromatic with herbal varietal notes and a medium-bodied, elegant palate, with fine-grained tannins and a soft texture. As in previous years, it contains some 15% Syrah. This has grown in volume and kept the quality." The Wine Advocate, 91 Points
