This Sonoma based producer has helped define the modern, bold style of domestic Pinot Noir and started the craze in the late 1990's. Their Willamette Valley label has quickly become one of the most popular wines from Oregon, due in large part to the declassified single vineyard lots that winemaker Adam Lee uses to craft the final blend.

Such was the case for the 2013 Willamette Valley, which Adam calls a play in 3 acts. A gorgeous growing season was followed by a wet September and then a dry, cool October for harvest. Timing, fruit selection, careful work in the vineyard and selection in the winery was critical. In fact, 88% of the final blend came from four single vineyards in Chehalem Mountain. This is hands down some of the best Pinot Noir grown in the US today!

Rating
"Medium ruby color. Deep, herbal cherry aromas, forward, cherry flavors with herbal and forest floor notes. Silky texture, good structure and balance. Long finish." The Pinot Report, 92 Points

"Brilliant red. High-pitched red berry and fresh rose scents are complemented by hints of white pepper and woodsmoke. Taut, sharply focused strawberry and bitter cherry flavors unfold slowly while retaining very good clarity. Smooths out nicely on the finish, which features silky tannins and a touch of blood orange." Josh Raynolds, Vinous 90 Points

Wine maker notes
Siduriís breadth and depth of Pinot Noir is truly unique. They specialize in cool-climate versions of the famed wine, producing only single-vineyard, single-variety bottles from twenty vineyards stretching from Santa Barbara to the Willamette Valley. Quite simply, winemaker Adam Lee believes that great wine is made in the vineyard. To that end, they've developed long-term relationships with some of the most sought-after growers and vineyards. And they purchase the majority of their fruit by the acre rather than the ton. With over 20 labels, total production is always under 10,000 cases, highlighting the attention to detail and quality.
