Like Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio but want to try something different?

The Zuccardi Serie A Torrontes has been described by many of our customers as the ultimate summer patio wine, something that can be enjoyed on a sweltering night with family and friends. Since we've had quite a few of these lately, we've been pairing this native Argentine white with grilled fish, oysters, poultry, and soft cheeses. Aromas of citrus and white flowers feed into a juicy palate of pineapple and mango flavors. Similar to a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, there is a strong acid lift on the fresh, crisp finish.

Rating
"A Torrontés with salt, lemon skin and almond. Fullbody, with bright acidity and a lively finish. Shows the excitement and potential of this unique grape. Drink now." James Suckling, 92 Points

"The nose reminds me more of a Gewürztraminer than a Moscatel, with the spicy part being quite dominant with pungent notes of herbs...The palate is very fresh and that faint bitter aftertaste so typical of the variety. Sebastian Zuccardi is starting to keep 300 bottles each vintage to follow the evolution, which to me is the next step in Torrontés. He tells me the wine from 2010 is fantastic now. So the drinking window of Torrontés is still work in progress. I'd like to follow this wine over three or four years to see how it ages." The Wine Advocate, 90 Points

Wine maker notes

Review:
really floral, smells like it might be sweet but it's completely dry and sharp like a sauvignon blanc. interesting!
