Domaine des Amariniers is located near the villages of Rochefort-du-Gard and Pujaut. The 3 Ha vineyard is rooted in clay and limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 40 years old. There is no question that this domaine is creating amazing wines!

Tasting notes
Tough to find Cotes du Rhone Villages from Signargues at this price that can deliver this quality. Lead pencil, wool, blackberry and plums are abundant on the juicy attack. Nice and silky across the mid-palate with velvety tannins through the finish.

Review:
This is a very good example of the vin de la casa or house wine you are likely to be served anywhere within 50 miles of Avignon (on the east side of the Rhone) when you just ask for a glass of their house red. It is an excellent value and has some of that rustic granite taste that the lower Rhone is known for. I give it 3 stars as it is no more than a table wine but very suitable (and affordable for everyday drinking). If it were judged against its price range and class I would give it at least 4 stars. Buy, enjoy and save your money for a special wine for a special dinner.
