The small production Block 447 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our top selling Napa reds at The Wine Buyer and for good reason. It's rare that we can feature a boutique Cabernet, crafted from Napa mountain fruit for under $25!

These sought after, full-bodied red wines are crafted in places like Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, Atlas Peek, Diamond Mountain and of course Spring Mountain AVA. Vineyards where cooler weather prevails and higher elevations help maintain good acidity and tannin structure. Known for their powerful, firm, blackberry-currant flavors and rich mouth-filling textures, these are serious Napa Cabernets you don't want to miss.

Rating
“This Spring Mountain Block Cabernet is complex andconcentrated starting with rich flavors of blackberry, black cherry, cassis and ripe plum. Silky smooth on the mid-palate showing dark chocolate, anise and spice which are all well-integrated on a lengthy finish. Only 1344 cases produced.” Wine Buyer, 93 Points

Wine maker notes
The rugged AVA of Spring Mountain, perched on the west side of the Napa Valley was one of the first areas to be planted by the early settlers in the 1800's. Named for its many natural springs, the Spring Mountain District is endowed with forests and meadows of great natural beauty amid charming reminders of the historic past. Officially established as an AVA in 1993, was described twenty-five years ago by a prominent wine writer as “probably more responsible than any other Napa hillside for creating the mystique of mountain grapes.” Today the district makes luscious and memorable wines of outstanding power, quality and elegance.
