It's back! Low in alcohol but big on flavor, the Baron Zett comes from the Mosel region of Germany. Famous for it's steep slopes and mineral rich soils, the cool climates are perfect for growing a light but expressive Riesling.

Wonderfully aromatic with notes of green apple, lime and citrus, the ripe peach flavors are balanced with lovely acidity and a nice bit of sweetness. An excellent picnic wine, the Baron Zett Riesling 2012 also pairs well with lighter meals, salads, spicy Asian cuisine or simply enjoy on its own.

Rating
"This one is a real find!! Unbelievable value for the price. This wine shows a wonderful floral nose followed by ripe flavors of melon, white peach and a hint of citrus complimented by a touch of sweetness and balanced nicely by a crisp lively finish." The Wine Buyer, 90 Points

Wine maker notes
While there are currently wines crafted in every corner of the world, the great white wines from Germany are in a word, unique. One of the most picturesque wine landscapes in Europe, the vineyards of the Mosel cling to the hillsides of the winding river below. The dramatic sloping vineyards protect the vines from extreme weather, while the famous slate soils impart incredible minerality to the wines. In fact, this "stoney" quality is so important to the wines, that when the rain washes the slate down the hill, the vineyard workers must carry the soil back up the perilous slopes to replenish the vineyards. Talk about commitment!
