Free Mix and Match Case Shipping The Finlayson family is synonymous with modern era winemaking in the Western Cape region of South Africa. Three generations of Finlayson's have played a significant role in steering the Cape wine industry in the direction of the international wine world.
David was born into the wine industry; his father is Walter Finlayson, founder of Glen Carlou. But this was not the only reason David decided the wine industry is his calling. He sees his work as more of a lifestyle than a mundane job and finds winemaking exciting and invigorating, keeping him on his toes because no two vintages are ever the same.
This wine is a blend of varietals that add spicy flavors and white and black pepper notes to the crushed berry fruits of the vine. Each varietal was crushed and fermented separately. After primary fermentation, the wines were blended and then matured to marry the flavors. After 12 months, the wine was crossflow filtered and bottled. Bottled under screw cap to ensure fruit intensity remains at an optimum in the bottle.

| "An intriguing blend of Mourvèdre, Tannat and Syrah, the color is youthful and red/purple. Fresh berry, crushed white pepper and dark mulberry scents on the nose. Pure red berry flavors flow onto a smooth palate with some crisp acid and tannin backbone delivering a smack of lively berry flavors wrapped up in the slightest hint of vanilla."-Wine Buyer Best Buy |
