Free Mix & Match Case Shipping!

It's a simple formula: take a $27, full-bodied, 92 point red and drop the price to $15.49 plus free shipping...You can see why the Esporao Reserva Alentejano Red 2013 has been such a huge hit this summer!

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with native Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira, this is a dark and deep red from David Baverstock. Silky and elegant with red berried fruits, rich and complex with well integrated new oak, 12 months in 70% American oak and 30% French oak barrels. If you're a fan of big reds, we think you're going to love this blend.

Rating
"This is a powerful and concentrated wine. It is full of dusty, dark tannins that are still masking the rich blackberry and black currant fruits. There is a dry core here that will fill out as the wine matures. It's a serious, long-lasting wine." Wine Enthusiast, 92 Points - Editor's Choice!

Wine maker notes
This ancient property, situated in the Alentejo region of Southern Portugal can trace its wine producing roots back to the Bronze Age. During the Roman occupation, the wines of Esporao were exported throughout the empire. The current boundaries of the estate were established in 1267 and at the heart of the property is the Tower of Esporão built between 1457 and 1490. Today the wine-making is under the auspices of Australian born David Baverstock, which lends a more international style to the wines.
