Borja is a town rich in culture and history. It's people are filled with a love for the grape vine. And now 42 years after establishing the winery, the Borsao brand is known the world over. Recently, Borsao has secured its future by the addition of the magnificent vineyards of the Pozuelo and Tabuenca wineries. The grapes for this 100% Grenache come from vineyards that are between 35 and 40 years old. Located on uneven terrain at an altitude of 1900 to 2300 feet, these vineyards yield a small amount per vine making the resulting juice more concentrated.
Separate fermentation of the three varieties (60% Garnacha, 20% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.) in stainless steel tanks started at 25º C and ending at 30º C, with a total duration of 21 days.
Afterwards the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels for a minimum of 8 months.
Then, it is rounded off in bottles for 14 months.

| "Dense and balanced, this polished red carries plum, blackberry, black pepper and tar flavors. Muscular tannins are well-integrated, and fresh acidity carries coffee, floral and mint notes through the finish. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. Drink now through 2014."-Wine Spectator 92 Points |
