Inspired by the technique of making Amarone, this traditional blend of 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara is the flagship wine for Masi. Rich, full-bodied, round and velvety, the Campofiorin is internationally recognized as the creator of a new category for wines from the Veneto. While you can certainly enjoy this Italian red now, we're pretty sure this vintage is going to evolve over the next 5 years!

Rating
"The 2011 Campofiorin is an IGT Rosso del Veronese executed in a Ripasso style that sees a double fermentation on Amarone skins. Campofiorin is a wine that is dear to my heart because it has long been one of my top drinking choices while sitting by the fireplace on a cold winter's night. It offers Ripasso intensity with brooding dark fruit nuances followed by a dense, chewy build." The Wine Advocate, 91 Points

Wine maker notes
The name Masi comes from "Vaio dei Masi," the little valley purchased by the Boscaini family in the late 18th century. For over 200 years, the Boscainis have been vignerons and winemakers in the Veneto, and a blend of innovative and historic methods enhances the wines' personality and retains a recognizable Venetian style. Representing the sixth generation of family ownership and management, Sandro Boscaini leads the estate in what famed critic Hugh Johnson has called a "milestone of enology in Verona." Today, these modern, attractive and well-balanced wines are benchmarks for outstanding Italian wines.
