The grapes for our Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from the Lake County region of California and from Mendocino, including the Redwood Valley. These grapes thrive in the loamy and gravel-like soil of these vineyards.

Tasting notes

Look for a bouquet of cherry and blackberry fruit, with notes of chocolate, leather, roasted coffee, and sweet oak. The tannins are mouth filling but soft, with a hint of smoke.

Wine maker notes

Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 18 months in American oak barrels, 20% in new barrels for the vanilla and toasty flavors that new oak imparts.
