Santa Margherita Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut 750ML
Sku: 21022

The Santa Margherita trademark is a graphic stylization of the Renaissance drawing of Villa Marzotto at Portogruaro. It is the distinguishing mark for the labels of its famous wines. The splendid villa was built around 1540 in the historical center and today hosts the city cultural center.

Tasting notes
This sparkling wine displays a fine, persistent perlage, while on the nose it offers attractive floral notes of peach and acacia blossom alongside delicate scents of reinette apples, all expressed with great cleanness and elegance. On the palate there is perfect harmony between the fresh and appealingly lively sensations and the roundness and delicacy of the fruit.

An earthy Prosecco with scents of pear and mushrooms, this is dry in the finish, lasting with a hint of spice, like nutmeg. Pour it with speck.

Wine maker notes
Nestled in the hills of the eastern Veneto is one of the most wonderful wine growing regions - the Valdobbaidene. In April 2010 this small area was established as a DOCG region, the highest quality level that can be given to an Italian wine. Glera (formerly known as Prosecco) grapes are grown on the steep hillsides, 100% hand-harvested, and crafted into the prized Santa Margherita Prosecco DOCG. With peach and apple aromas, this fresh and balanced sparkling wine has fine perlage with a refreshing finish. Prosecco di Valdobbiadene is excellent as an aperitif, ideal with seafood dishes and after meals with light desserts.
