Kenwood Vineyards was founded in 1970. The Vineyards are located on a beautiful, twenty-two acre-producing estate. The winery also produces wines from fruit sourced from some of Sonoma County’s best vineyards.
True to history, the winery is housed in the original winery buildings. Inside, the winery has been redesigned with winemaking versatility in mind. More than 125 stainless steel fermenting and upright oak tanks are used in combination with 14,000 French and American Oak barrels, giving the winemaker flexibility and diversity in production.
Tasting notes
Medium-bodied with black cherry, spice, and vanillaoak flavors that finish with classic peppery Zinfandel notes.
Technical notes
The zest and zing of this varietal make it the winemaker’s personal favorite. Our Sonoma County Zinfandel is blended from vineyards located in Sonoma County’s best Zinfandel appellations, the Sonoma and Dry Creek Valleys. A portion of the blend comes from old-vine vineyards that have been producing excellent grapes since the 1940s.
Food pairing
Our Sonoma County Zinfandel is delicious with grilled meats, rich tomato-based dishes and spicy ethnic cuisine.
